Horsehead Region

Horsehead Region

The Horsehead region is one of the most mysterious and beautiful areas to photograph. It is also one of the most difficult. Impossible to see in a small scope, and therefore, more difficult to frame in the view finder. At least a 1 hour exposure is required. A 2 hour exposure is preferred. The guiding is critical, as well, as seeing conditions, scope size, and film type. November is considered to be the best time of year to shoot the Horsehead region. LX-200 8in. F6.3, Kodak 400 PPf unhypered, 90min., ST-4.
